Again today.
Most of the time it's not that much of an issue as you just adapt. But when it makes life more difficult it really makes me snippy.
So let's start with pens.
Find one with a logo on it. Hold it in your right hand and enjoy the graphic design. Now hold it in your left hand. The design is upside-down. Now get your favourite mug. You know, the one with the wise-ass comment on it. Drink from it. Savour the stimulant and consider the embossed picture. Now swap hands. You can no longer enjoy the logo. 8-(
And it doesn't stop there. Scissors. Even if we exclude the ones that have been formed to fit a right-hand, the blades are reversed for left-handers. Handguns, dangerous if you're on the wrong end and dangerous if you're a leftie – especially with grip forms – and where's the safety? Out of reach. Watches. I wear mine on the right arm. If I want to light the screen at night, I have to pass my hand directly over the screen to do it. Same with winding/setting. Makes it hard when you wear a divers watch, you have gloves on, at night, 20 metres under in a strong swell. I suspect there's nothing sinister (heh heh)
Also – playing with Empire Avenue – and this is what they need to verify my blog ownership!
