Probably the best Downfall parody video I've seen. Well scripted and even has the words matching up in places!

People want Tech Talkback!

Here's some excerpts from emails I've received since Friday 6 August. That's 19 emails in 3 days.
The people have spoken!
It seems they want someone who can solve technology problems on the radio as well as also doing something on TV.
Now of course, Ryan is doing a sterling job in my place on @6PR – but everyone has a different way of approaching problem solving. I'm pretty sure there's room for two.
Let's see if we can get @720perth interested!
What do you think? Add your comments below.
I must admit I miss your tech segments on 6PR. There are not many radio segments I try to take in as a matter of course, but yours was/is definitely one. The 6PR talkback aspect was good coz it gave air to a wide range of problems, which I found good to learn from.
Whilst I am an Apple man, the rest of my family are Windows based, and I am the one who has to sort their problems for them. Coz of you, we are Trend based now….
Would definitely prefer a radio slot by you as it would be more practicable for me as compared to TV. Thus assuming 6PR is finished for you now, I would think approaching the ABC for talkback would be the way to go, but not sure how commercial reality would affect your ability to recommend brands and stuff.
Rob McDonald
I support the idea of you conducting a full half hour and I mean a FULL HALF HOUR of both tech talk and talkback to people with problems or confusion about the operation of their pc's.
It would be a great deal better to have this segment on the radio during the working week and during working hours, the less than 15 minutes that James Lush gives you on a Sat morning is hardly worth it.
I am prepared to email this to the ABC and to West TV.

Thought Leaders Testimonial – Jason Clarke is fantastic.

I went along to a Thought Leaders WA presentation by Jason Clarke – and it was fantastic. Jason is widely regarded as one of Australia's best speakers – and I can see why. It was thought-provoking, fun and made me challenge quite a few long held assumptions.
If you're in Perth and you can make the next one, I highly recommend it.
Enjoy this testimonial produced by those devilishly handsome blokes at LushTV.
Will it blend? Vuvuzela!

What is The Black Diamond Ball? It's a formal, but fun function to support Lifeline WA's HelpME campaign – a campaign designed to prevent suicide by increasing the community’s awareness of what we can do to keep people in crisis safe. Black Diamond will take you on a journey for the senses from a decadent three course meal accompanied by premium beer and wine to mesmerising tailor-made live performances. From the reader to the art critic, the show-goer to the culinary enthusiast – not to mention those who just like to hit the dance floor – it will have you hooked on delight and entertainment from the moment you enter the realm of Black Diamond. This is the Inaugural Black Diamond Ball where we'll be launching HelpMe, a remarkable initiative by Lifeline WA that aims to prevent suicide by addressing the stigma associated with mental illness and providing care to those in need. Take pleasure in being inspired for a worthy cause and purchase your ticket now. You can book online here: http://www.blackdiamondball.com.au/ You can also hear @alison_braun and @perthtones (6PR's Tony Serve) talking about the Black Diamond Ball here: http://tonyserve.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/biggest-losers-alison-braun-tells-us-about-the-black-diamond-ball-to-raise-funds-for-lifelines-help-me-programme/ I'm organising some tables for the "Twitterati". If you're active on Twitter and you'd like to join us – you're most welcome! Simply book via the web site above and mention the "Twitter Table". That'll get you on board with the "In Crowd"! Other Twitterati are also attending but don't count towards these numbers as they're Organisers!
